About Me

My love affair with traveling and hiking started 10 years ago, when I signed up for a gap year as a hiking guide in the Eilat Mountains region. I fell in love with the red, tall, desert, standstill mountains. The contrast between the naked mountains of Eilat and the jungle going on under the clear waters of the red sea gave me a sense of true freedom. I had found my one true inspiration for life - nature.

Since then, I've trekked, hiked, guided and traveled across and through Israel. 

​

The idea, to write an independent trekking guide for travelers in Israel, came to me a few years ago. During an incredible trek in Georgia (the country), I met a German couple, sleeping in the tent beside mine. We kept in touch and two years later they came to trek in Israel and stayed as guests in our home in the north of Israel. They were going to hike along the Israel National trail for a 3-day trek and our home was their northern starting point. I asked them where they got the information that they needed in english for the trek. They then shared how difficult it is to find information for trekking in Israel, especially if you decide to go off the beaten track. 

The conversation stayed with me.

My dream is to share my inspiration, my adventurous trekking ideas, with you. To take all of my knowledge and information that I've gathered over the past 10 years while trekking through Israel and pass it on, as a gift.

I love writing about hiking and trekking, and I love setting out on adventures, so that I'll have something to write about.
I'm a licensed tour guide and have a BA in Israel Studies (studies that include geography, history, archeology, flora and fauna).
